"The “FenceMender” works, the others do not. The “FenceMender” (USA Made!) two-piece sleeve has definitely performed better than the black or the green unit; the black unit being sold in Home Depot, and the green unit sold in Lowe’s. Don’t be fooled by these copies or foreign knock-offs, they are very difficult to install. They don’t fit into the old concrete hole, once they are installed, the fence still wobbles, and they often times break the concrete, whereas the “FenceMender” worked every time without flaw. Why we have to buy these on the internet concerns me, but having used them again and again, they are very easy to install and last for years. This definitely helps the handyman repair market to pick up some side dollars, or a contractor experience high profits without concerns, let alone the added value of not replacing the fence, thereby not compromising our “GREEN Environment”. "Repairing a broken fence post or fixing a rotten post can be done without taking out the old post or fence boards. Many fences sag because their posts rot within a few years of installation and if you go to the trouble and expense of replacing the post or even the whole fence, the posts can rot again in another 5-10 years.
